Youth Indianpreneurship

As part of our youth engagement and outreach programming, BHCLF has brought the Youth Indianpreneurship Program to Rapid City. Indianpreneurship is a Native American-based entrepreneurship program developed by Onaben. This curricula is designed for Native American, Alaskan Native, and Native Hawaiian entrepreneurs whom are at various stages of their business development.

Devyn Valandra (Oglala Lakota) has become the first Rapid City Area Schools student to benefit from this program. He is an 18-year-old high school senior at Stevens High School. Valandra is working closely with BHCLF Business Development Specialist, Shannon Ahhaitty, in the youth entrepreneurship program. His product is in the early stages of becoming a household staple. Valandra has taken coffee and infused it with sage extract to create a unique blend
with health benefits.

Devyn is a kind and hardworking student, and we wish him all the luck in the world in his future business ventures!
